I often wonder why the Seahawks seem to get beat up in the media. When I look at a team like the Texans, they seemingly get a lot of positive attention despite the fact they've never won anything. But I see Texans players (even non-stars) featured on more national shows than Seahawks, and I don't know if that's a product of their press offices being more accessible to national media, if the Seahawks are more focused on supporting local media, or if there is no national interest. I have a hard time believing there is no national interest when their market size is similar. I'd like to see a bigger push to get Seahawks players out there in the national media, because I think it would help win over some people who really don't know anything about the team and start to shift some of the perspectives people have about the team. Wishful thinking maybe.

I'll start off by saying I don't know how to remedy any of this. If we had a magic wand, would the easiest way to solve all of this be to somehow raise (drastically) the level of play in the US college system? If we watch a good deal of foreign leagues, it seems the years of 18 to 22 are pretty prime years for pro footballers, whereas back here one could argue those years are wasted if they're spent playing in college.

For me, the answer to this is almost as impossible as my pipe dream for baseball to abandon the concept of farm systems and go to promotion-relegation.

I have been saying this all off season. What a great player. You left out how fast she is and how great she is on the defensive side of the ball. If we pick her we will not miss a beat when Sue is ready to retire. As you said who better for Sammy to learn from than Sue.

They don't get respect because it's lame basketball. I'm not a basketball stud, but I'm athletic across the board. Myself, with four other guys in similar condition to me, put a spanking on the University of California's women's basketball team in a pickup game. It wasn't even close. It's difficult to respect a professional team that couldn't even beat the best collegiate intramural group at a Junior college (any JuCo, just pick one).

When I watch professionals, I want to see people who far surpass my capabilities, that's what "awe's" me. Considering that an all around athlete with only high-school competitive basketball experience, along with a team of similar people, can destroy a group of "elite" basketball players who just happen to be women leaves much to be desired....

Believe you me you are absolutely spot on exactly how the Arsenal fan base would react. As for the game at Wembley Dave San, come over here and experience it for yourself. I have to take a tube from SE London to Wembley a journey of some 20 stops taking some 45 minutes. On arrival at Wembley there were 50 people in the carriage, supporting 17 franchises from 21 countries. If you'd like to take a quick demographic on the day I would be glad to assist you. Both in Trafalgar Square on saturday and at Wembley on the Sunday. The UK Hawkers have a meet in a restaurant on the Saturday night. You would enjoy it.

Sorry but I really would like to see the Hawks at Wembley,The last time I went to a game the Hawks were still in the Dome. I struggle to find the money to get to Seattle but I could get to Wembley very easily and I wont go to any of the Wembley games til the Hawks come.

I thought long and hard about having an OG earlier, but I liked other players in each round, and I think in Cable's system you can find depth guys that fit in later rounds. I wouldn't be mad, however, if we took an OL earlier....this year and EVERY year. Failure to do so was one of the more glaring mistakes of the Tim Ruskell era.

BTW, anyone know a good source for details of what picks we do and don't have? I had a hard time finding the info, and ended up using www.prosportstransactions.com. They had the Curry deal but obviously missed others.

If I don't find the info soon I'll just have to go transaction by transaction and piece it together.

I would be incredibly happy with this draft. Although I do see LG as a pretty big need (let's be honest: Gallery wasn't terribly good, he hasn't played a full season in years and he's what? 300 years old?), but I think we could survive with him for one more year and maybe sign a FA next season or draft one.

If we ended up with Cousins in the 2nd round, I'd probably crap my pants with joy.
